From the artist: "Murmures funebres perdus dans la brume" is the SOMBRE PRESAGE second album (8 releases to date). In english, the title sounds like "Funeral murmurs lost in the mist". The first track is an old song recorded in 2002 when the band called HENOTH; probably one of my first records... In my opinion, this song is really primitive and contains too many samples, but the fans like it! So... The second track is just Dark/Ambient music, closer to SOMBRE PRESAGE Black Metal attraction... The band's current albums sounds really different from this one, a mix of Ambient Drone/Black Metal with Indutrial touchs but many people like this opus so... I hope you will like it too! Subject: nightmares
Sombre Presages' first track 'Meurtre' begins as a dead old needle hits a dirty old 78, cold amp hiss swells like heavy rain, psychotic sounds pierce and stab and float across yr stereo-scope - some demented cackling daemon over a relentless throb. This is unsettling stuff, and black ambient is fast becoming the genre of choice for a dispossessed generation. 'Dark' and 'Black' ambient music is the stuff of pure nightmares - fully expressionistic - like harsh noise - but it goes deeper - it projects the acute 'nowness' of noise, but is not a dry sonic exercise - it is moist like psilocybin-laced honey. The first track is relentless - and that is its charm - its ugly feedbacking simply refusing to die. This is psychosis.
